| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since 1999, Destination Imagination has encouraged |

| 10 | 11 | | students to reach creative, collaborative solutions through |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | diverse approaches; teams discover how to focus, frame challenges, |

| 12 | 13 | | and take risks while developing patience, flexibility, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | persistence, ethics, and respect for others; moreover, they gain |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | skills in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the |

| 15 | 16 | | arts, among other disciplines; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Guided by team sponsors Linda Hitter and Lori |

| 17 | 18 | | Berumen, the Stingers took top honors in the "Fine Arts--Feary |

| 18 | 19 | | Tales" category for their performance of "The Princess of Walalo"; |

| 19 | 20 | | the team's six outstanding members are students in grades 3-5; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The Stingers worked diligently to prepare for this |
