 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Stingers team of Horizon Heights Elementary
 School in Horizon City received first place in the regional
 Destination Imagination competition on February 28, 2015, earning
 the right to proceed to the state tournament; and
 WHEREAS, Since 1999, Destination Imagination has encouraged
 students to reach creative, collaborative solutions through
 diverse approaches; teams discover how to focus, frame challenges,
 and take risks while developing patience, flexibility,
 persistence, ethics, and respect for others; moreover, they gain
 skills in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the
 arts, among other disciplines; and
 WHEREAS, Guided by team sponsors Linda Hitter and Lori
 Berumen, the Stingers took top honors in the "Fine Arts--Feary
 Tales" category for their performance of "The Princess of Walalo";
 the team's six outstanding members are students in grades 3-5; and
 WHEREAS, The Stingers worked diligently to prepare for this
 exciting competition, and their first-place finish is a source of
 great pride to their teachers and classmates; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Stingers team of Horizon
 Heights Elementary School on winning first place in the regional
 Destination Imagination competition and extend to the members
 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
