| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School in Houston is |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The school held its first classes on September 8, |

| 9 | 10 | | 1964, for children in the first through the sixth grades; following |

| 10 | 11 | | the Dominican education philosophy, St. Francis de Sales Catholic |

| 11 | 12 | | School helps children to become grounded in their faith while |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | encouraging academic excellence and a vibrant sense of community; |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, St. Francis de Sales has expanded |

| 15 | 16 | | its curriculum while remaining faithful to its established |

| 16 | 17 | | principles, and today it serves approximately 470 students from |

| 17 | 18 | | prekindergarten through eighth grade; in addition to traditional |

| 18 | 19 | | disciplines, the school offers studies in areas such as music, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Spanish, and technology; it is also home to a number of sports teams |

| 20 | 21 | | and academic and service organizations, which give students myriad |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | opportunities for enhanced personal development and present |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | parents with occasions for further involvement in their children's |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, For five decades, St. Francis de Sales Catholic |
