| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, March 31, 2015, marks the 54th wedding anniversary |

| 6 | 7 | | of Bill and Susie Black of Ozona, and this joyous event provides a |

| 7 | 8 | | fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together |

| 8 | 9 | | as husband and wife; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Black and the former Tommy Sue Chandler were |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | joined in matrimony in 1961; they are the parents of two children, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Will M. Black and the late Sue Ellen Crawford, and through the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | years, they have seen their treasured family grow to include their |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | daughter-in-law, Vickie, as well as their grandchildren and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Lifelong residents of Crockett County and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | descendants of pioneer ranching families in the area, the couple |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | grew up near Ozona; Mr. Black helped found Crockett National Bank |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | and continues to hold a seat on its board of directors; following in |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he also served several |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | terms as a county commissioner; Mrs. Black co-chairs fund-raising |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | efforts for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and has aided the |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | efforts of various clubs and community projects; in addition to |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | their prominent roles in ranching and raising livestock, the pair |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | have also been involved in several business ventures; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The 54 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Black |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | know them; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Susie Black on their 54th |
