| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Robert M. Worley is retiring as president and CEO of |

| 6 | 7 | | the Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County in June 2015, |

| 7 | 8 | | following eight years of distinguished service in that position; |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the Alliance in October 2007, |

| 10 | 11 | | Mr. Worley has made an immeasurable contribution to promoting and |

| 11 | 12 | | diversifying the county's economic base, attracting high-wage jobs |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | in target industries, and supporting the interests of existing |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | businesses in the area; under his able leadership, the nonprofit |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | organization has implemented a number of best practices to benefit |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Brazoria County, including utilizing economic impact analyses and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | fostering positive and professional interactions with prospective |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | businesses, Alliance members, and elected officials; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, |

| 19 | 20 | | where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, this esteemed |

| 20 | 21 | | administrator has been employed in economic development in the Lone |

| 21 | 22 | | Star State since the late 1970s; Mr. Worley joined the Alliance |

| 22 | 23 | | after working for economic development entities in Paducah, Mount |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Pleasant, McKinney, Bryan/College Station, and Dumas; in all his |

| 24 | 25 | | endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of his wife, Fawncyne; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Robert Worley has made a positive difference in the |

| 26 | 27 | | lives of his fellow citizens, and he may take justifiable pride in a |

| 27 | 28 | | job well done as he looks ahead to the next exciting chapter of his |

| 28 | 29 | | life; now, therefore, be it |
