| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, One early morning in March 2015, 81-year-old Don |

| 10 | 11 | | McNeely experienced car trouble and became stranded on Lake Shore |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Drive in Waco; Officer Kurt Morsbach of the Waco Police Department |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | came to his aid and, with the assistance of Officer Charles Herren, |

| 13 | 14 | | helped to move the car to safety; to ensure the well-being of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Mr. McNeely, Officer Morsbach stayed on the scene with him until a |

| 15 | 16 | | tow truck arrived; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Upholding their oaths to protect and serve, Officers |

| 17 | 18 | | Kurt Morsbach and Charles Herren exemplify the highest ideals of |

| 18 | 19 | | their profession, and their efforts have earned them the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | appreciation of a grateful citizenry; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby commend Officer Kurt Morsbach and Officer |
