| 8 | 9 | | death of her son, Manuel Gutierrez Jr., on March 14, at the age of |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Guadalupe Gutierrez was born in Robstown on |

| 11 | 12 | | September 16, 1945, to Roman and Irene Benavidez; she was joined in |

| 12 | 13 | | matrimony to Manuel Gutierrez Sr. for 47 years, and she was the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | proud mother of Manuel Jr. and Monica; she was also blessed with two |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | grandchildren, John and Madelyn; a woman of strong religious faith, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | she sang with the El Rocio choir at St. Anthony's Catholic Church; |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Manuel Gutierrez Jr. was born to Manuel and |

| 18 | 19 | | Guadalupe Gutierrez in Corpus Christi on December 21, 1969; as |

| 19 | 20 | | "Little Manny G," he was a popular disc jockey at Magic 104.9, a |

| 20 | 21 | | Tejano radio station, where listeners particularly delighted in |

| 21 | 22 | | hearing his movie reviews on the air; when he wasn't working, he |

| 22 | 23 | | enjoyed spending time at the Corpus Christi Athletic Club; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, The loss of this beloved mother and son is a great |

| 24 | 25 | | hardship for their family, but those they have left behind may take |

| 25 | 26 | | comfort in knowing how deep was the affection and respect they |

| 26 | 27 | | enjoyed in life from all who knew them; now, therefore, be it |
