| 7 | 8 | | of Betty Jo Davis of Alto, who passed away on January 8, 2015, at the |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Born in Alto on June 1, 1938, to Lonnie and Sally |

| 10 | 11 | | Compton Pyle, the former Betty Jo Pyle was raised in nearby Weches |

| 11 | 12 | | with her sisters, Kay, Nollie, Maxine, and Maybell, and her |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | brothers, W. L. and Richard; she exchanged wedding vows with Larry |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Davis in 1955, and the couple became the proud parents of three |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | children, Larry, Chris, and Teresa; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, For many years Mrs. Davis traveled the country with |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | her husband as he pursued his work in the concrete industry; she was |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | devoted to her family and home, and she was a valued member of A. |

| 18 | 19 | | Frank Smith United Methodist Church, where she served as president |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | of the Women's Guild; she also participated in the Thursday Study |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Club; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Betty Jo Davis lived a caring and purposeful life, |

| 22 | 23 | | and those who were blessed to share in her love and affection will |

| 23 | 24 | | forever hold her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Betty Jo Davis and |

| 26 | 27 | | extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband |

| 27 | 28 | | of 59 years, Larry G. Davis; to her children, Larry Joe Davis and |
