H.R. No. 1931 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Tyler Reese Blakey has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Jason Isaac during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Blakey has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, Mr. Blakey is majoring in political science, with a minor in music, at Texas State University, where he is president of Phi Alpha Delta, a prelaw fraternity; a talented musician, he has played guitar, drums, and banjo and sung lead vocals at Sunset Canyon Baptist Church in Dripping Springs since 2008; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Tyler Reese Blakey for his service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jason Isaac and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Blakey as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
