 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
 only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by
 Jarrod L. Riggins of Georgetown heralds a future bright with
 opportunity and promise; and
 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of
 important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has
 earned 38 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as
 first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has
 gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking an
 Eagle Scout project, which involved constructing a wooden kiosk at
 Champion Park; and
 WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop No. 405,
 Mr. Riggins has served his peers as a leader, participating in over
 100 days and nights of camping, and he has served his community by
 taking part in 66 service projects; in so doing, he has exemplified
 the many positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and
 WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
 attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Jarrod Riggins has demonstrated
 an unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its
 ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the
 way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Jarrod L. Riggins on
 achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best
 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Riggins as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
