 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
 passing of Odessa Davis Yeager on March 6, 2015, at the age of 91;
 and
 WHEREAS, The former Odessa Davis was born on June 4, 1923, to
 Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Davis in Hunt County; she married the love of
 her life, John Yeager, and they became the proud parents of a
 daughter, Toinette; over the years, her family grew to include four
 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with whom Mrs. Yeager
 shared many treasured moments; and
 WHEREAS, A resident of Mineola for nearly six decades,
 Mrs. Yeager was employed as the registrar of Mineola High School
 for 20 years, and she operated her own dress shop for 14 years; she
 also served as the secretary for First United Methodist Church,
 where she was a valued congregant and where she chaired numerous
 church committees; and
 WHEREAS, Deeply concerned for the welfare of others,
 Mrs. Yeager gave generously of her time and talents as a 33-year
 member of the Pilot Club and as a cofounder and longtime board
 member of both the Caring and Sharing program and the Kindness
 Kottage resale shop; she also held membership for several years in
 the Mineola Chamber of Commerce; and
 WHEREAS, Odessa Yeager was deeply devoted to her family, her
 faith, and her community, and she will forever be remembered with
 deep affection by all who held her close to their hearts; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Odessa Davis Yeager
 and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 daughter, Toinette Collier, and her husband, Ed; to her
 grandchildren, Davin Smith, David and Chris Collier, and Dara
 Culver; to her great-grandchildren, Blayne, Aiden, and Cheyenna
 Smith, Tristan Randolph, and Holly Culver; to her sisters, Dorothy
 Day and Ida Shields; to her sister-in-law, Marie Davis; and to her
 other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Odessa
 Davis Yeager.
