 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The citizens of Pittsburg lost an admired community
 leader with the death of Estelle Parker on January 15, 2015, at the
 age of 95; and
 WHEREAS, Born on November 25, 1919, in Titus County, the
 former Estelle Crain was the daughter of William Lee Crain and Nina
 Estelle Smith Crain; she married William Russell "W. R." Parker,
 and they became the parents of four daughters, Linda, Mary Ann,
 "Hedy," and "Tonnie"; through the years, Mrs. Parker saw her family
 grow to include 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2
 great-great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, In 1945, Mrs. Parker and her husband opened a
 plumbing business that they expanded to include appliances, floor
 coverings, and furniture; for seven decades, as the owner of Parker
 Furniture and Appliance, "Mama Parker," or "Mrs. Estelle," as she
 was fondly known, worked to promote a vital downtown Pittsburg
 through her own store's initiatives and as a favorite customer at
 many local shops; she was also a valued congregant of the First
 Baptist Church; and
 WHEREAS, Estelle Parker was a devoted mother and grandmother
 and a significant asset to her business and her community; her
 commitment to her loved ones and to Pittsburg will be remembered and
 admired for years to come; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Estelle Parker and
 extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
 daughter, Linda Grundish, and her husband, David; to her
 grandchildren, Dr. Mike and Ann McCrady, Dr. Bob and Julie McCrady,
 Tom McCrady, Liz and Bobby Goodman, Tinkie Williams, Keith and Anna
 Sewell, and Paul and Laurie Sewell; to her 13 great-grandchildren
 and her 2 great-great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and
 many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Estelle
 Parker.
