| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Highland Meadows Health and Rehab in Rockwall is |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Family owned and operated, Highland Meadows is |

| 8 | 9 | | dedicated to helping area residents in need of its services to enjoy |

| 9 | 10 | | happier, healthier, longer lives; taking a holistic approach to |

| 10 | 11 | | patient care, the center's staff tend to not only the physical but |

| 11 | 12 | | also the spiritual and emotional well-being of the people they |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | serve; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Highland Meadows offers assistance to patients who |

| 14 | 15 | | are suffering from cardiac or orthopedic problems, postsurgical |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | complications, or the effects of a stroke, or who need help managing |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | wounds or diabetes; the well-rounded rehabilitation programs are |

| 17 | 18 | | customized to meet the specific needs of each individual, with |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | patients receiving one-on-one therapy five days a week; physical, |

| 19 | 20 | | occupational, and speech therapy are provided, along with patient |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | education and a range of other services; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The well-being of the citizens of Texas depends on |

| 22 | 23 | | the skilled care administered by medical professionals, and the |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | addition of Highland Meadows Health and Rehab to the Rockwall |

| 24 | 25 | | community is indeed occasion for celebration; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the grand opening of Highland |
