H.R. No. 211 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County has been presented with a Journey to Excellence Award by the Williamson County Institute for Excellence in Nonprofits, and this achievement indeed merits special recognition; and WHEREAS, The Williamson County Institute for Excellence in Nonprofits, which provides pro bono organizational assistance to local service groups, established the awards program to honor initiatives that have started down the road to higher efficiency and effectiveness; and WHEREAS, Under the leadership of executive director Debbie Hoffman, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County brings community volunteers together to build affordable housing for families in need; since its founding in 1999, the organization has constructed 59 homes for 62 families; and WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to empowering families by providing them with secure and comfortable housing, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the program's latest achievement; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County on its receipt of the Journey to Excellence Award and extend to its staff and volunteers sincere best wishes for continued success in their important work; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Habitat for Humanity as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
