H.R. No. 2203 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may comfort those saddened by the passing of Petra M. Villarreal on April 5, 2015, at the age of 66; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Eugenio and Felipa Garza Mendoza, the former Petra Mendoza was born in Robstown on January 31, 1949, and grew up in the company of five sisters and three brothers; and WHEREAS, She was joined in matrimony to Rodolfo Villarreal Sr., and together they shared a rewarding marriage until his passing; the couple became the parents of four children, Rudy, Juanita, Augustine, and Julie, and their family later grew to include two additional generations; Mrs. Villarreal was employed as a custodian for the Calallen Independent School District for many years; and WHEREAS, Although Petra Villarreal is deeply missed, memories of happy times spent in her company will forever be cherished by all those who knew and loved her; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Petra M. Villarreal and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her children, Rudy Villarreal Jr. and his wife, Elida, Juanita Villarreal, and Augustine Villarreal and his wife, Margaret; to her sisters, Oralia Garcia, Margarita Villarreal, Felipa Peralta, Dominga Aguilar, and Palmera Colmenero; to her brothers, Eugene, Domingo, and Juan Mendoza; to her grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, and Tiffany Villarreal, Rudy Villarreal III, and Ashley Villejo; to her nine great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Petra Villarreal.
