45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team earned
67 great distinction with a third-place finish at the Tarleton
78 Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest held on
89 March 26, 2015, at Tarleton State University in Stephenville; and
910 WHEREAS, This annual event brings together more than 10,000
1011 FFA members from over 400 high schools across the Lone Star State to
1112 compete in 17 contests; and
1213 WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team,
1314 consisting of Mandi Leavelle, Lilia Zertuche, Natalie Cox, Karina
1415 Ramos, and Kathryn Faust, registered a score of 438.1295 to finish
1516 third out of 160 teams vying for the title; the squad's instructor,
1617 Beth Ramsdell, was honored with a Top 5 Coaches award for her
1718 outstanding guidance; and
1819 WHEREAS, Through their participation in the study of
1920 agriculture, these talented young Texans have demonstrated great
2021 initiative and ability, and they may indeed look forward to a future
2122 bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the members of the Robinson FFA floriculture
2324 judging team be congratulated on their third-place finish at the
2425 Tarleton Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest
2526 and that the students and their instructor, Beth Ramsdell, be
2627 extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
2728 further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3031 House of Representatives.
