H.R. No. 2204 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team earned great distinction with a third-place finish at the Tarleton Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest held on March 26, 2015, at Tarleton State University in Stephenville; and WHEREAS, This annual event brings together more than 10,000 FFA members from over 400 high schools across the Lone Star State to compete in 17 contests; and WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team, consisting of Mandi Leavelle, Lilia Zertuche, Natalie Cox, Karina Ramos, and Kathryn Faust, registered a score of 438.1295 to finish third out of 160 teams vying for the title; the squad's instructor, Beth Ramsdell, was honored with a Top 5 Coaches award for her outstanding guidance; and WHEREAS, Through their participation in the study of agriculture, these talented young Texans have demonstrated great initiative and ability, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the members of the Robinson FFA floriculture judging team be congratulated on their third-place finish at the Tarleton Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest and that the students and their instructor, Beth Ramsdell, be extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
