H.R. No. 2218
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Antonio Araujo can take well-deserved pride in the
outstanding service he has rendered as a member of the San Elizario
Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, In a job that requires the commitment of public
support and effective collaboration with parents, teachers, and
administrators, Mr. Araujo has worked tirelessly to advance the
quality of schools in his district; and
WHEREAS, This notable Texan joined the board in 1994 and is
currently serving his fourth term as its president; a job counselor
with the Texas Workforce Commission, he has previously acted as
director of Organización Progresiva de San Elizario, and he played
a vital role in the establishment of the San Elizario Food Bank in
2010; and
WHEREAS, Through his unwavering dedication to the students
and staff of San Elizario ISD, Antonio Araujo has helped foster a
supportive and challenging educational environment, and in so
doing, he has earned the respect and appreciation of his fellow
residents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Antonio Araujo for his service to the San
Elizario ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Araujo as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
