H.R. No. 2265
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A number of noteworthy Houston area students are
being honored at the Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship banquet on
April 18, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing young men and women who have
distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits, the
awards were established in memory of Reginald Keith Guillory, a
graduate of Forest Brook High School and an active member of Mount
Pleasant Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, This year's honorees are Ivori Blow, Rachel
Cockrell, Kianna Hawkins, and Sapphire Scott; and
WHEREAS, These outstanding young Texans have demonstrated a
commendable dedication to their studies, and they are a source of
great pride to their families and peers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the honorees of the 2015 Reginald
Keith Guillory Scholarship and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the honorees as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
