H.R. No. 2273
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jake Kahla received well-deserved recognition when
he was named Athlete of the Week at Jasper Junior High School in
2015; and
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Joe Glenn and Karen Kahla,
Jake Kahla has distinguished himself through his involvement in a
variety of sports; in addition to participating in football and
basketball, he is a member of the JJHS track and field team, and he
recently placed first in the pole vault and second in the high jump
events at the district track meet; and
WHEREAS, This young athlete's skill and determination are an
inspiration to his teammates, his coaches, and his fellow students,
and he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jake Kahla on his selection as
Jasper Junior High School Athlete of the Week and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Kahla as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
