| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Officer Jeff Brantley is retiring from the North |

| 6 | 7 | | Richland Hills Police Department on July 30, 2015, drawing to a |

| 7 | 8 | | close a notable tenure in law enforcement that has spanned nearly |

| 8 | 9 | | three decades; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Jeff Brantley was hired by the department in October |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | 1986, and over the course of his exemplary 28-year career, he has |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | distinguished himself in a variety of roles; he served as a patrol |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | officer from 1987 to 1994, when he was promoted to detective and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | joined the Tarrant County Auto Theft Task Force; from 1999 to 2004, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | he worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration Narcotics Task |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Force, and from 2005 until 2010, he was with the department's |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Special Investigations Unit; since 2011, he has served as a police |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | officer and a field training officer for the Patrol Section; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In addition, Officer Brantley has been a valued |

| 19 | 20 | | member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, and he has earned |

| 20 | 21 | | five Meritorious Service Awards and two Certificates of Recognition |

| 21 | 22 | | for his teamwork, diligence, and professionalism; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Officer Brantley's skill and dedication have |

| 23 | 24 | | greatly benefited the citizens of North Richland Hills and earned |

| 24 | 25 | | him the respect and admiration of his fellow officers, and he may |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent; now, therefore, be |
