 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Officer Jeff Brantley is retiring from the North
 Richland Hills Police Department on July 30, 2015, drawing to a
 close a notable tenure in law enforcement that has spanned nearly
 three decades; and
 WHEREAS, Jeff Brantley was hired by the department in October
 1986, and over the course of his exemplary 28-year career, he has
 distinguished himself in a variety of roles; he served as a patrol
 officer from 1987 to 1994, when he was promoted to detective and
 joined the Tarrant County Auto Theft Task Force; from 1999 to 2004,
 he worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration Narcotics Task
 Force, and from 2005 until 2010, he was with the department's
 Special Investigations Unit; since 2011, he has served as a police
 officer and a field training officer for the Patrol Section; and
 WHEREAS, In addition, Officer Brantley has been a valued
 member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, and he has earned
 five Meritorious Service Awards and two Certificates of Recognition
 for his teamwork, diligence, and professionalism; and
 WHEREAS, Officer Brantley's skill and dedication have
 greatly benefited the citizens of North Richland Hills and earned
 him the respect and admiration of his fellow officers, and he may
 indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Jeff Brantley on his
 retirement from the North Richland Hills Police Department and
 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Officer Brantley as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
