45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Ken Bedford is retiring as a school resource officer
67 with the North Richland Hills Police Department on June 5, 2015,
78 concluding an exemplary career that spanned more than 30 years; and
89 WHEREAS, Officer Bedford began his tenure with the department
910 on March 1, 1985; he served as a patrol officer and went on to become
1011 a school resource officer, working in the community services
1112 section at both the middle and high school levels; and
1213 WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Officer Bedford has been
1314 recognized for his exceptional work; he has received 68 letters of
1415 commendation for his dedication to his community and to students
1516 and school personnel, and he has attained safe driving awards for
1617 both 20-year and 25-year milestones; and
1718 WHEREAS, Officer Ken Bedford's steadfast commitment to
1819 public safety has greatly benefited the citizens of North Richland
1920 Hills, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent
2021 as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
2122 therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2324 Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Ken Bedford on his
2425 retirement from the North Richland Hills Police Department and
2526 extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for Officer Bedford as an expression of high regard by the
2829 Texas House of Representatives.
