45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Agnes Schramm Fisher McClosky of Houston passed away
67 on September 24, 2013, at the age of 89, leaving her circle of
78 family and friends to cherish their many happy memories of time
89 spent in her company; and
910 WHEREAS, The oldest daughter of August Schramm and Justina
1011 Horak, Agnes McClosky was born in Ammannsville on February 21,
1112 1924; she grew up on a small cotton farm with her siblings, and
1213 later worked at Frank's Restaurant in Schulenburg; and
1314 WHEREAS, Mrs. McClosky was predeceased by her first husband,
1415 Albert Fisher; she later enjoyed many rewarding years of marriage
1516 with her second husband, Tony McClosky, before his passing; devoted
1617 to her six children, Margaret, Mark, Carol, Margaret Ann, Pat, and
1718 Tony, she delighted in welcoming into her family 13 grandchildren
1819 and 29 great-grandchildren; and
1920 WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the Houston area, she was a
2021 valued parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church, where she was a
2122 member of the altar society; she also gave of her time and talents
2223 to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the K.J.Z.T. Catholic
2324 Family Fraternal of Texas, and the Polka Lovers Klub of America; in
2425 her leisure time, Mrs. McClosky enjoyed working in her yard, going
2526 polka dancing, and baking and cooking for her loved ones; and
2627 WHEREAS, Agnes McClosky lived a rich and purposeful life
2728 centered around her faith and her family, and she will long be
2829 remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; now, therefore,
2930 be it
3031 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
3132 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Agnes Schramm
3233 Fisher McClosky and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her
3334 family: to her children, Margaret Fahrenthold and her husband,
3435 Rick, Mark Fisher, Carol Havemann and her husband, Donnie, Margaret
3536 Ann Leubner, Pat Chmiel and her husband, Larry, and Tony McClosky;
3637 to her sisters, Maggie Kainer and her husband, Joe, Josie Kaase, and
3738 Mary Ann Fishbeck and her husband, Marvin; to her sister-in-law,
3839 Bernice Schramm; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
3940 to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
4041 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4142 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
4243 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Agnes
4344 Schramm Fisher McClosky.
