| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Yesenia Velasquez has ably served the people of |

| 8 | 8 | | González during the 84th Legislative Session; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Velasquez has provided |

| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 11 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | issues facing the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable |

| 13 | 13 | | experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Originally from Gilroy, California, Ms. Velasquez |

| 15 | 15 | | is a first-year master's student at The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Austin; she is studying curriculum and instruction, and she is |

| 17 | 17 | | active with the Cultural Studies in Education Graduate Student |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Yesenia Velasquez has performed her duties as a |

| 20 | 20 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 21 | 21 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
