No. 2451 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Dan Luiton has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Mary González during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Luiton has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Francisca and Rodrigo Luiton, Mr. Luiton is working toward a bachelor's degree in history at The University of Texas at Austin, and he plans to attend law school after his graduation; he has given generously of his time and talents to benefit such worthwhile endeavors as Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, United Way, and the Cameron County Department of Elections Voter Registration; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Dan Luiton for his service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Luiton as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
