| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Frank Espinoza has ably served his fellow Texans as |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 84th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Espinoza has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A former resident of San Antonio and the son of Frank |

| 14 | 15 | | and Sofia Espinoza, Mr. Espinoza is currently in his junior year at |

| 15 | 16 | | The University of Texas at Austin, where he is studying political |

| 16 | 17 | | communication; he has been involved in a number of extracurricular |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | activities, having served as a UT summer orientation advisor, a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | member of the P16Plus Council, a communications intern, a mentor |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | with Project MALES, and president of the campus Latino Fellowship |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | chapter; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Espinoza hopes to attend graduate school to |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | study education policy and to eventually pursue a career in that |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | field; this summer, he is planning to travel abroad to Beijing to |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | learn about the history of social entrepreneurship with an emphasis |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | on migrant education; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 29 | 30 | | therefore, be it |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 31 | 32 | | Legislature hereby commend Frank Espinoza for his service as a |
