H.R. No. 2465 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Frank Espinoza has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Mary González during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Espinoza has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, A former resident of San Antonio and the son of Frank and Sofia Espinoza, Mr. Espinoza is currently in his junior year at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is studying political communication; he has been involved in a number of extracurricular activities, having served as a UT summer orientation advisor, a member of the P16Plus Council, a communications intern, a mentor with Project MALES, and president of the campus Latino Fellowship chapter; and WHEREAS, Mr. Espinoza hopes to attend graduate school to study education policy and to eventually pursue a career in that field; this summer, he is planning to travel abroad to Beijing to learn about the history of social entrepreneurship with an emphasis on migrant education; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Frank Espinoza for his service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Espinoza as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
