H.R. No. 2510
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Austin Nichols of Jasper High School has earned
well-deserved recognition for his first place win at the East Texas
Piano Solo Festival Competition on April 11, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nichols performed two pieces in the preliminary
round and earned a spot as a finalist in the Winners Recital; at the
conclusion of the event, he was named the first place winner in the
Advanced II category; and
WHEREAS, Through his participation in the East Texas Piano
Solo Festival Competition, Austin Nichols has demonstrated
outstanding talent and dedication, and he may indeed look forward
to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Austin Nichols on winning first
place at the East Texas Piano Solo Festival Competition and extend
to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nichols as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
