45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Hunter January, a senior at McGregor High School,
67 has signed a national letter of intent to continue his athletic
78 career at the collegiate level; and
89 WHEREAS, A gifted quarterback for the McGregor High football
910 team, Mr. January will play for the University of Kansas beginning
1011 in the fall of 2015; and
1112 WHEREAS, The son of Joe and Carla January, this talented
1213 student-athlete earned all-district honors for the 2014 season
1314 after leading the Bulldogs to a berth in the University
1415 Interscholastic League state playoffs; Mr. January has also
1516 excelled as an all-district basketball and baseball player for
1617 McGregor, and he was a regional qualifier for the golf team; and
1718 WHEREAS, Hunter January has pursued his goals through hard
1819 work and an enduring commitment to excellence, and he may take great
1920 pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks ahead to a future
2021 bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby congratulate Hunter January on signing a
2324 national letter of intent to play for the University of Kansas
2425 football team and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2526 success; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for Mr. January as an expression of high regard by the
2829 Texas House of Representatives.
