R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hunter January, a senior at McGregor High School,
has signed a national letter of intent to continue his athletic
career at the collegiate level; and
WHEREAS, A gifted quarterback for the McGregor High football
team, Mr. January will play for the University of Kansas beginning
in the fall of 2015; and
WHEREAS, The son of Joe and Carla January, this talented
student-athlete earned all-district honors for the 2014 season
after leading the Bulldogs to a berth in the University
Interscholastic League state playoffs; Mr. January has also
excelled as an all-district basketball and baseball player for
McGregor, and he was a regional qualifier for the golf team; and
WHEREAS, Hunter January has pursued his goals through hard
work and an enduring commitment to excellence, and he may take great
pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks ahead to a future
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Hunter January on signing a
national letter of intent to play for the University of Kansas
football team and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. January as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
