| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Molly Smith has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 6 | 7 | | aide in the office of State Representative J. D. Sheffield during |

| 7 | 8 | | the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Smith has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Smith is a senior at Texas A&M University where |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | she is majoring in history and international studies; during the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | summer of 2014, she studied abroad in Germany, and she has been |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | employed at the Maps and GIS Library at TAMU since 2012; |

| 17 | 18 | | additionally, she is a member of the TAMU quidditch team, an |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | intramural sports club that also carries out volunteer work in the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | community; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 21 | 22 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Molly Smith for her service as a |
