H.R. No. 2701 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Molly Smith has ably served her fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative J. D. Sheffield during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Smith has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, Ms. Smith is a senior at Texas A&M University where she is majoring in history and international studies; during the summer of 2014, she studied abroad in Germany, and she has been employed at the Maps and GIS Library at TAMU since 2012; additionally, she is a member of the TAMU quidditch team, an intramural sports club that also carries out volunteer work in the community; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Molly Smith for her service as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative J. D. Sheffield and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
