45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Sixth-graders from Kountze Intermediate School
67 distinguished themselves with their performance at the Texas Math
78 and Science Coaches Association Middle School Championship Meet on
89 April 11, 2015, capturing first place in general mathematics; and
910 WHEREAS, Competing against sixth-graders from 14 other 3A
1011 schools at The University of Texas at San Antonio, the members of
1112 the Kountze squad combined scores to bring home the title in the
1213 general mathematics category; the school was led by Jaythan Davis,
1314 who posted a perfect score, and they also received vital
1415 contributions from team members Seth Mehl, Eddie Powell, Raven
1516 Roberts, Leigh Eppes, and Zoey Helegeda; and
1617 WHEREAS, The Kountze Intermediate team was guided at the meet
1718 by teacher and sponsor Sheila LeBlanc, who inspired the students to
1819 perform at their full potential; and
1920 WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the Middle School
2021 Championship Meet, these bright young Texans have brought great
2122 credit to their school, and they may take justifiable pride in the
2223 skill and dedication they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby congratulate the students from Kountze
2526 Intermediate School on their performance at the Texas Math and
2627 Science Coaches Association Middle School Championship Meet and
2728 extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
2829 further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
