| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Katlin Kerl, a senior at Silsbee High School, has |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Roger and Carol Wilson, Ms. Kerl has |

| 9 | 10 | | lettered for four years as a catcher on the Lady Tigers softball |

| 10 | 11 | | team; she was awarded a full scholarship to attend SJC after an |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | outstanding senior campaign in which she compiled a .409 batting |

| 12 | 13 | | average, 22 stolen bases, and 14 runs batted in; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Earning well-deserved recognition for her inspired |

| 14 | 15 | | play on the diamond, Ms. Kerl was named the district's Newcomer of |

| 15 | 16 | | the Year in 2012 for her impressive freshman season, and she has |

| 16 | 17 | | been selected to the All-District 21-3A softball team on three |

| 17 | 18 | | occasions; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Katlin Kerl has pursued her goals with remarkable |

| 19 | 20 | | drive and an enduring commitment to excellence, and she may take |

| 20 | 21 | | great pride in all that she has accomplished as she looks ahead to a |
