45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has ably served his fellow Texans as
67 a communications assistant in the office of State Representative
78 Mary González during the 84th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Atkinson has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1011 in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
1112 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained
1213 valuable experience in the field of public service; and
1314 WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Karen Atkinson, Mr. Atkinson is
1415 a second-year government student and a 2016 Archer Fellow at The
1516 University of Texas at Austin; in addition to his scholarly
1617 achievements, he has served his peers as an orientation advisor and
1718 as a reporter and editor for The Daily Texan; he plans to pursue a
1819 career in social justice advocacy, law, and government
1920 administration; and
2021 WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has performed his duties as a
2122 communications assistant with skill and dedication, and he is
2223 indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
2324 therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby commend Justin Atkinson for his service as a
2627 communications assistant in the office of State Representative Mary
2728 González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2829 success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Mr. Atkinson as an expression of high regard by the
3132 Texas House of Representatives.
