| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has ably served his fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Atkinson has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Karen Atkinson, Mr. Atkinson is |

| 14 | 15 | | a second-year government student and a 2016 Archer Fellow at The |

| 15 | 16 | | University of Texas at Austin; in addition to his scholarly |

| 16 | 17 | | achievements, he has served his peers as an orientation advisor and |

| 17 | 18 | | as a reporter and editor for The Daily Texan; he plans to pursue a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | career in social justice advocacy, law, and government |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | administration; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has performed his duties as a |

| 21 | 22 | | communications assistant with skill and dedication, and he is |

| 22 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
