H.R. No. 2707
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has ably served his fellow Texans as
a communications assistant in the office of State Representative
Mary González during the 84th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Atkinson has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained
valuable experience in the field of public service; and
WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Karen Atkinson, Mr. Atkinson is
a second-year government student and a 2016 Archer Fellow at The
University of Texas at Austin; in addition to his scholarly
achievements, he has served his peers as an orientation advisor and
as a reporter and editor for The Daily Texan; he plans to pursue a
career in social justice advocacy, law, and government
administration; and
WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has performed his duties as a
communications assistant with skill and dedication, and he is
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Justin Atkinson for his service as a
communications assistant in the office of State Representative Mary
González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Atkinson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
