| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A special education aide at Smith Elementary School, |

| 9 | 10 | | Ms. Portillo has played an integral role in the daily lives of her |

| 10 | 11 | | students, and her colleagues greatly value her role in fostering a |

| 11 | 12 | | supportive and encouraging environment for learning; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Helping young people to realize their potential is a |

| 13 | 14 | | vital responsibility, and Laura Portillo may indeed reflect with |

| 14 | 15 | | pride on the meaningful contributions she has made to that |
