R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Laura Portillo has been named the 2015
Paraprofessional of the Year for the Magnolia Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, A special education aide at Smith Elementary School,
Ms. Portillo has played an integral role in the daily lives of her
students, and her colleagues greatly value her role in fostering a
supportive and encouraging environment for learning; and
WHEREAS, Helping young people to realize their potential is a
vital responsibility, and Laura Portillo may indeed reflect with
pride on the meaningful contributions she has made to that
undertaking; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Laura Portillo on her selection as
the 2015 Magnolia ISD Paraprofessional of the Year and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success with her important work;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Portillo as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
