| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The 91st birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the |

| 9 | 10 | | dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet, Mr. Rhodes |

| 10 | 11 | | has lived through an array of historic events and witnessed |

| 11 | 12 | | remarkable changes and marvels since his birth in 1924; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A source of wisdom and joy, he has brightened many |

| 13 | 14 | | lives over the years, and he is deeply cherished by his friends and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Lura Rhodes is an inspiration to all who have the |
