H.R. No. 2743
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Six members of the Rotary Club of Waco celebrated 50
years with the organization in 2014 and 2015; and
WHEREAS, Guided by the motto "Service Above Self," the Rotary
Club of Waco is composed of neighbors, friends, and civic leaders
who work to create positive, lasting change in the community; and
WHEREAS, Noley Bice and Floyd Jensen joined the Waco Rotary
in 1964, while Mark Deering, John Dietz, David Dow, and Wilton
Lanning Jr. became members in 1965; Monsignor Mark Deering was also
recognized for 50 years of perfect attendance; and
WHEREAS, These outstanding Rotarians have contributed to
their fellow citizens through a lifetime of purposeful endeavor
and, in so doing, they have set an inspiring example of compassion
and generosity toward others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Noley Bice, Floyd Jensen, Mark
Deering, John Dietz, David Dow, and Wilton Lanning Jr. on their 50
years of membership with the Rotary Club of Waco and extend to them
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
for Mr. Bice, Mr. Jensen, Monsignor Deering, Mr. Dietz, Mr. Dow,
and Mr. Lanning as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
of Representatives.
