H.R. No. 2749
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Karla Rios has ably served her fellow Texans as an
intern in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty during the
84th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Rios has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including reading, analyzing, and researching bills and addressing
the needs of constituents; in addition to learning more about the
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star
State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public
service; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Ricardo and Claudia
Rios, Ms. Rios is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin,
where she is pursuing a degree in social work and government and is
active in the Longhorn Band, the Mariachi Ensemble, and Tau Beta
Sigma; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Karla Rios for her service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dan
Huberty and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rios as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
