| 9 | 10 | | Safety and Health Administration, the Triangle Award recognizes |

| 10 | 11 | | occupational safety professionals for exceptional contributions to |

| 11 | 12 | | the well-being of their fellow employees and to the advancement of |

| 12 | 13 | | their field; the award was named in tribute to the victims of the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire in New York City; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Employed by Hughes Oilfield Transportation in |

| 15 | 16 | | Odessa, John Teague serves as safety manager and OSHA and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Department of Transportation compliance officer; he oversees 150 |

| 17 | 18 | | trucks and drivers daily, and he has implemented an extensive |

| 18 | 19 | | two-day training program that all the company's prospective drivers |

| 19 | 20 | | must complete; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Teague performs field audits on all drivers and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | equipment, and he conducts driving tests and ride-alongs; his |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | outstanding leadership has brought Hughes two consecutive safety |

| 23 | 24 | | awards from Texas Mutual; moreover, he serves on the board of the |

| 24 | 25 | | West Texas Safety Training Center, and he is a member of the ASSE |

| 25 | 26 | | Permian Basin Chapter; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Benefiting the greater community as well, |

| 27 | 28 | | Mr. Teague has worked tirelessly outside of the workplace to |

| 28 | 29 | | promote safe driving; he and his wife, Shannon, lost their son, |

| 29 | 30 | | Dustin, to an automobile accident caused by distracted driving, and |

| 30 | 31 | | they have traveled across the state to share their personal |

| 31 | 32 | | tragedy, highlighting the deadly consequences of inattention at the |

| 33 | 34 | | WHEREAS, The Teagues frequently organize distracted driving |

| 34 | 35 | | awareness events, and in 2015, they advocated before the Texas |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | Legislature for a ban on cell phone use while driving; in addition, |

| 36 | 37 | | they have spoken on the topic at the annual meeting of the West |

| 37 | 38 | | Texas Safety Training Center and at monthly meetings of the Permian |

| 38 | 39 | | Basin Service, Transmission, Exploration, and Production Safety |

| 40 | 41 | | WHEREAS, John Teague has devoted himself to keeping others |
