45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Natalie James of Waco and DeeAnn Hoffman of Robinson
67 have been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society; and
78 WHEREAS, Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is America's oldest
89 and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic
910 disciplines; membership in the society requires an invitation,
1011 nomination, and approval by a collegiate chapter, and only
1112 outstanding juniors and seniors who rank in the top 7.5 or 10
1213 percent of their classes, respectively, may be admitted; and
1314 WHEREAS, With their selection, Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman are
1415 among some 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni
1516 to be initiated into the prestigious society each year; and
1617 WHEREAS, These fine young Texans have demonstrated hard work
1718 and a strong commitment to excellence in their educational
1819 endeavors, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with
1920 promise; now, therefore, be it
2021 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2122 Legislature hereby congratulate Natalie James and DeeAnn Hoffman on
2223 their induction into Phi Kappa Phi and extend to them sincere best
2324 wishes for the future; and, be it further
2425 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2526 prepared for Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman as an expression of high
2627 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
