No. 278 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Natalie James of Waco and DeeAnn Hoffman of Robinson have been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society; and WHEREAS, Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is America's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines; membership in the society requires an invitation, nomination, and approval by a collegiate chapter, and only outstanding juniors and seniors who rank in the top 7.5 or 10 percent of their classes, respectively, may be admitted; and WHEREAS, With their selection, Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman are among some 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni to be initiated into the prestigious society each year; and WHEREAS, These fine young Texans have demonstrated hard work and a strong commitment to excellence in their educational endeavors, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Natalie James and DeeAnn Hoffman on their induction into Phi Kappa Phi and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
