| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Waco Euterpean Club was recognized with a number |

| 8 | 9 | | 2015, in Brownwood; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The event commemorated the meeting that was held in |

| 10 | 11 | | 1915 to unite the music clubs of Texas under the umbrella of the |

| 11 | 12 | | Texas Federation of Music Clubs; founded in 1894, Waco Euterpean is |

| 12 | 13 | | one of the oldest such groups in the state, and today, members |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | continue to sponsor musical programs and initiatives throughout the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Members of Waco Euterpean took home numerous |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | state-level awards from the celebration, which included having |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | their Parade of American Music Report sent on to national |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | competition; honored as the number one club in Texas in outreach |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | musical hours, the group saw one of its members, Jean Pinner, place |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | first in that category as well; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Waco Euterpean Club have |

| 22 | 23 | | demonstrated an outstanding commitment to musicianship and the arts |

| 23 | 24 | | in their community, and they may take pride in their spirited |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | efforts and in the many well-deserved accolades they have received; |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Waco Euterpean Club on its |
