 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Hays County Bar-B-Que and Catering of San Marcos
 brought its savory specialties to the State Capitol during the 84th
 Legislative Session as one of the featured restaurants for
 "Bar-B-Quesday"; and
 WHEREAS, Hosted on Tuesdays by State Representative Jason
 Isaac, this popular event provides a showcase for some of the finest
 barbecue establishments from House District 45; and
 WHEREAS, Participating in Bar-B-Quesday for the first time in
 2013, Hays County Bar-B-Que was founded in 1984 and was originally
 known as Woody's BBQ; since 2007, this popular destination has been
 owned by Michael and Asenette Hernandez, who slow-cook their
 brisket, sausage, chicken, turkey, and pork over a combination of
 mesquite and post oak; in 2009, their barbecue was voted the best in
 Hays County, and in 2013, the restaurant made the prestigious Top 50
 Barbecue Joints list in Texas Monthly magazine; and
 WHEREAS, Texas barbecue is renowned across the nation and
 around the world, and this proud culinary tradition is maintained
 and enriched by outstanding Central Texas  businesses such as Hays
 County Bar-B-Que; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Hays County Bar-B-Que and Catering for
 its participation in Bar-B-Quesday and extend sincere best wishes
 to the Hernandez family and their staff for continued success; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Hays County Bar-B-Que as an expression of high regard
 by the Texas House of Representatives.
