 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Miss Mae's Bar-B-Que of Wimberley brought its savory
 specialties to the State Capitol during the 84th Legislative
 Session as one of the featured restaurants for "Bar-B-Quesday"; and
 WHEREAS, Hosted on Tuesdays by State Representative Jason
 Isaac, this popular event provides a showcase for some of the finest
 barbecue establishments from House District 45; and
 WHEREAS, The distinctive recipes featured at Miss Mae's
 Bar-B-Que originated with the grandmother of owner Steve Dunks;
 Miss Mae prepared barbecue for her family and the hands who worked
 on her ranch, and she went on to open the Red Barn Pit Bar-B-Que on
 the square in Wimberley in 1983; after her death in 1997, Mr. Dunks
 started his own restaurant and named it for his grandmother in order
 to carry on this flavorful family tradition; and
 WHEREAS, Texas barbecue is renowned across the nation and
 around the world, and this proud culinary tradition is maintained
 and enriched by outstanding Central Texas businesses such as Miss
 Mae's Bar-B-Que; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Miss Mae's Bar-B-Que for its
 participation in Bar-B-Quesday and extend sincere best wishes to
 Steve Dunks and his staff for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Miss Mae's Bar-B-Que as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
