R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker of SnapBrothers
Productions were recognized for the second consecutive year at the
2015 Tongies award ceremony, conducted in Los Angeles on March 5;
and
WHEREAS, Established in 2014 by Tongal, a community-sourced
platform for creative content, the annual Tongies acknowledge
excellence in the work produced by participants for global video
campaigns promoting brands, film studios, and musical artists; the
winners are selected by Tongal members and fans through an online
voting process; and
WHEREAS, SnapBrothers Productions received the 2015 Best
Original Song award for its tune advertising Miller Lite beer, "For
Lite, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"; the company was also
nominated for Best Tonglar of the Year and Best Gig Video; in 2014,
SnapBrothers brought home the Best Original Song trophy for "The
Fruit Will Set You Free," composed for a Welch's Fruit Snacks
commercial; and
WHEREAS, Through their talent, hard work, and creativity,
Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker have gained national attention for
their company, and they may take justifiable pride in their
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker of
SnapBrothers Productions on their second consecutive Tongie award
and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
for Mr. Bookman and Mr. Walker as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
