 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close on March
 11, 2015, with the death of LaRone Therion Perry at the age of 79;
 and
 WHEREAS, LaRone Perry was born in Houston on August 1, 1935,
 to Forest Perry and Marjorie M. Dutton, and he grew up with a
 sister, Forrest Mae, and a brother, Raymond; after graduating from
 Phyllis Wheatley High School, he attended Texas Southern University
 before joining the United States Navy; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Perry married the former Ouida Joyce Jackson in
 1959, and they shared more than five decades together, before her
 death in 2011; the proud parents of two sons, Rory and Troy, the
 couple were later blessed with three grandchildren, Roy, Darrion,
 and Eryn; and
 WHEREAS, After serving his country for six years, Mr. Perry
 received an honorable discharge from the navy, and he and his wife
 moved to Chicago; he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35
 years, earning many commendations, and subsequently for A. F.
 Services; in his free time, he enjoyed music and photography; and
 WHEREAS, A man of strong religious faith, Mr. Perry joined
 Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church in Houston at an early age, and
 at the time of his death, he was a member of Lilydale First Baptist
 Church of Chicago; and
 WHEREAS, LaRone Perry was a loving husband and a devoted
 father and grandfather, and those who were privileged to share in
 his love and friendship will always remember him with great
 admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of LaRone Therion Perry
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
 sons, Rory Clay Perry and his wife, Brenda, and Troy Blair Perry and
 his wife, Tara; to his grandchildren, Roy, Darrion, and Eryn; to his
 brothers-in-law, Elzie Cole and Bruce Jackson; to his
 sisters-in-law, Denise Berry and Bridget Simms; to his extended
 grandchildren, Amber, Eugene, and Armon; and to his other relatives
 and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of LaRone
 Therion Perry.
